Hermit crabs are critters that hide in shells that protect them from detection. When the player comes close, or alerts the crab to its presence, they will come out of hiding.

== Fighting tactics ==
The crab's main attack is a claw bash that dazes the player, removing a few action points. Their shell also provides protection from melee attacks, similar to [[Spear Guard]].
