He is a warrior and traveler who has half of his skin turned to scales, implying that he was outcast due to failing one of their rituals. He appears to be familiar with [[Sjörsr]], who the [[Ferryman]] killed using [[The Shard]]. While seemingly shunned, he still holds the clan's values, and sees the warrior's way of life as the only proper one, though he questions his faith in the spirit seekers.&lt;br /&gt;

== Player Interactions ==&lt;br /&gt;
Yngwar is one of the few Serpentines who the player can speak to without fighting, granted that they behave well enough not to provoke him. They can come to an agreeable conversation by having a spear duel with enough melee skill, knowledge of Sørmirbæren culture (can be obtained by asking [[Ferryman]] about the natives), or assuming a battle stance and successfully intimidating him (100 effective). Afterwards you can attempt to converse by drawing pictures in the sand, and using various phrases and gestures. If you can persuade him through correct dialogue options with enough [[Intelligence]] (9 effective intelligence needed), he can draw the [[Rune Sketch]] which marks Sjörsr's grave in the [[Sørmirbæren Graveyard]]. He may also teach the player about their rituals and way of life. If at any point during the conversation Yngwar is provoked, he will threaten the player and attack if the player doesn't leave. You can however offer him some food to appease him to be able to resume the conversation. If the player wears [[Rathound Regalia]], Yngwar will demand it as a tribute instead.&lt;br /&gt;

A part of the utility section is forbidden even to most Tchortists. It is possible to sneak in using the hidden ventilation shaft in west wing.&lt;br /&gt;

Genetic experiments are conducted in this forbidden laboratory, where some of the resulting creatures (called &amp;quot;rejects&amp;quot; by Tchortists) are detained. They can be freed by hacking the computer in the cells corridor (50 hacking skill needed), or by finding a key card on one of the scientists in another room.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once the doors are open, rejects need to be directed to the hidden ventilation shaft by talking to the elder, named [[Old Reject|Sharp]], and also mentioning the hole in the west wing as a possible escape route. Once the rejects are moving, they will be attacked on sight by any Tchortist guard, which prevents there escape.&lt;br /&gt;

It is possible to allow them to escape without revealing yourself to the Tchortists by creating a diversion. West of the cells is another ventilation shaft that leads north to another location in the same zone. Throwing a grenade there, or using a TNT charge, then sprinting back through the shaft to signal the rejects to move should give them just enough time to escape while the guards are investigating the explosion noise. On the other hand, attacking the guards, even stealthily, will turn all Tchortists hostile, since this is a controlled area. There is no quest associated to the rejects, and once they escaped they can't be seen ever again.&lt;br /&gt;

== Objectives ==&lt;br /&gt;
* Strange tremors have begun shaking the Institute of Tchort. Maybe you should investigate the cause.&lt;br /&gt;
* Find out why the Faceless have appeared in the west wing.&lt;br /&gt;
* Escape Institute of Tchort before the Faceless overrun it!&lt;br /&gt;

== Walkthrough ==&lt;br /&gt;
Either complete all the jobs [[Mediant Samuel]] has for you or complete enough jobs for the Investigation section. You will be given an opportunity to talk with [[Eidein]] and join the section you worked for.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When talking to Eidein about joining either Preservation or Investigation, the tremors will begin and he sends you to investigate. Physics department can inform you about the source of the tremors - somewhere in the west wing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Inside west wing, head go west then south until you come across a faceless tunneler squad. If you saved the [[Injured Faceless]] in Core City, you will meet him here and he will give you a warning about the impending faceless invasion. If not, you'll have to either sneak or fight your way past the group, into the tunnel where they came from and peek at the faceless invasion force.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After you've seen the large faceless invasion group, return to Eidein. Inform him of the faceless group (1 oddity XP) and about the invasion force (2 oddity XP). Afterwards, you are to follow Eidein to the elevator north of his office.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The tremors and subsequent faceless invasion can also be triggered in a couple of other ways, but these stop you from finishing this quest for the Tchortists:&lt;br /&gt;
* Attack any of the tchortists inside the Institute, turning the entire Institute hostile. This will start the tremors and the invasion starts as soon as you make your way to the cargo elevator.&lt;br /&gt;
* Find your way to a cargo elevator at the east end of the utility section, below Eidein's office. Either hack the elevator controls (120 hacking needed) or pickpocket [[Elevator Key Card (Institute)|Elevator Key Card]] from Eidein (95 effective pickpocket is enough).&lt;br /&gt;

== Point Of No Return ==&lt;br /&gt;
It is highly recommended that you bring all of the weapons, ammo, gear, medicine and whatever else you plan to bring with you before you speak with Eidein or do anything to trigger the faceless invasion, as you will soon find yourself in the [[Deep Caverns]] and will be unable to leave until your [[Destroy Tchort|business there has been concluded]].  &lt;br /&gt;
