It's time to deal with the Beast.

Objectives
* Find a different way to kill the Beast
* You need to load the furnace before you can use it to kill the Beast. (Find 30 impure chromium blades)

Walkthrough
Head to the east end of Foundry's mines, where the Crystal Caves are. Bring some batteries and pick up a Jackhammer from the mines. Start mining the Chromium Rock deposits, but be prepared to fight - some of them may have already developed into Bladelings instead of releasing immature bladeling larvae and yielding 1-3 Impure Chromium Blade. You need 30 impure chromium blades to get the furnace going (500 classic XP, 1 oddity XP). You can use the levers in the mine to call for the minecart, which can be used to gather the heavy chromium blades and be called to the furnace.

Once the furnace is loaded and ready, you need to gather some people to help you. You won't get any help from Foundry Guard, but some individuals will help you. Saban in the foundry mines is more than willing to help, and so is Dan in southwest corner of Foundry. Dan also brings a Plasma Sentry to the fight. But most importantly, you need Ezra's help. He will create a Psi-amplifier to lure the beast into the furnace.

Once you're prepared, head to Gloria, set and activate the psi-amplifer. The psi-amplifier will attract a waves of Bladelings, which you will have to kill before the Beast arrives. When the Beast arrives, you will pull the lever automatically – you don't have stand close to it. If you are playing on a higher difficulty be prepared for a long fight. On DOMINATING difficulty, the bladelings arrive with 10 stacks of Taste for Blood and natural Adrenaline Rush that increases their action points by 15, dodge and evasion by 10%, and strength by 4.

The Bladelings are weak vs. energy, bio and acid damage – if you can't use appropiate guns it's possible to create a death zone at the north eastern top end of the stair with Acid Blob Traps and stacking Gas Grenades.

Description
The Red Dragon is a sword used by Aran. It got a energy emitter which deals extra energy damage to its target if charged. This is pretty useful against targets with high mechanical resistance and low energy resistance.

With a high enough mercantile skill you can give Aran the Acorn in exchange for the Red Dragon.
It works with all machete based feats.

Electrokinetic Imprint is a Psychokinesis psi ability added in version 0.2.0.1.

Places a hidden electrokinetic imprint on the ground, similar to a trap, that deals electrical damage and stuns the first creature to step on it, unless the damage was completely resisted. The detection difficulty of electrokinetic imprints is 125% of effective Psychokinesis skill, instead of the usual Traps skill. Only one imprint can be active in an area at a time.

Its damage scales with your effective Psychokinesis skill. Can be invoked through a fence or a gate. Must be cast on an unoccupied tile. If cast on an occupied tile nothing happens, but the ability goes on cooldown nonetheless.
Leather Armor is an armor suit. 50

Description
The lightest armor suit available, with unimpressive resistances and lightest armor penalty. Leather armors infused with super steel fiber can reach surprisingly high resistances and offer unique bonuses. Good for characters who want to have high mobility and rely on defensive skills and feats rather than sheer damage absorption.
left

Crafting
Leather Armor can be crafted with Blueprint: Leather Armor.

Variants
Base material
Type and quality of the base material determines the armor suit's resistances, armor penalty and durability.
an alphabetical list of all abilities

Abilities in Underrail are the various active abilities characters can use.

Description
Most non-psionic abilities are gained from various feats, but the player character also has certain inherent abilities and gear which may grant abilities as well. Psi abilities are gained from psionic training.

Many creatures also have abilities unique to them, such as the siphoning attack of siphoners.

Types
The Quick Invoker F menu lists all of your character's abilities. They can be used directly from the menu or dragged & dropped into your action bar slots, 1 to 9.

Attacks
Offensive actions with your equipped weapon or bare fists.

Special attacks
These enhance your normal attacks. All attacks listed in the quick invoker's attack section are considered special attacks for the purpose of special attack bonus, except the default Attack and unconditional special attacks listed below.

Unconditional special attacks
Special attacks that do not have a cooldown or require special conditions to trigger are considered unconditional. As of 1.0.4, special attack damage bonus no longer works with unconditional special attacks.

Special bolts fired from a Crossbow do not count as special attacks at all, so they're also excluded from special attack damage bonus.
* Burst
* Heavy Punch
* Shotgun Burst
* Double Shot

Gear
Special attacks and abilities granted by your gear, such as Force Ventilation Shaft from equipped Steel Crowbar. Implemented in version 1.0.2.2. The legacy Burst attack of SMGs and assault rifles is not included.

Abilities
All general non-attack, non-psionic, abilities.

Inherent abilities:
* Stealth Mode (improves with Stealth skill)
* Pickpocket (improved with Pickpocketing skill)
* Lock (allows locking doors with keys)

Psi
Psi abilities
Psionic abilities your character has learned.

The player character has no inherent psi abilities.
Goggles provide various bonuses to sight or ranged weaponry, depending on lens type used. Wearing goggles interferes with peripheral vision, decreasing dodge by 25%.

The optional night vision variant of goggles can be incredibly useful in the dark caverns of Underrail, where light is a luxury. They have no AP cost associated with them, allowing you to turn them on/off at will during combat. Night vision greatly increases precision with all ranged weapons in dark areas by counteracting any darkness penalty.

Abilities in Underrail are the various active abilities characters can use.

Description
Most non-psionic abilities are gained from various feats, but the player character also has certain inherent abilities and gear may grant abilities as well.

* Burst
* Heavy Punch
* Shotgun Burst
* Double Shotverify
* Special bolts fired from a Crossbow

Gear
Special attacks and abilities granted by your gear, such as Force Ventilation Shaft from equipped Steel Crowbar. Implemented in version 1.0.2.2. The legacy Burst attack of SMGs and assault rifles is not included.

Abilities
All general non-attack, non-psionic, abilities.

Inherent abilities:
* Stealth Mode (improves with Stealth skill)
* Pickpocket (improved with Pickpocketing skill)
* Lock (allows locking doors with keys)
Dude is a drunkard who spends his time in Rail Crossing's bar, telling stories and drinking way too much Mushroom Brew.

Before he become Dude he was John Dyson, a Biocorp scientist, head of psionic research and development at Hollow Earth, Deep Caverns.

Player interactions
Dude can tell the player about his visions and other interesting stories fueled by mushroom brew.

Quests
* Dude's vision: Dude had a vision where he sees you play an important part. He won't tell you what it is but you'll need to help him get ingredients for something in his previous dwellings.

Rift Walking
The Expedition DLC added a new questline to Dude that you can start after completing Dude's vision. It is adviced to save before starting said quest, as you can't leave the hard quest areas until completion. Upon said completion of the quest, Dude will create The Juice that will allow you to see teleportation rifts around Underrail.

Known rift locations:

* South Gate Station, (8th floor, agronomy, in the storage room)

* Camp Hathor (behind a broken fence south of the docks)
