Plot items include all the various keys, electronic keycards and various quest items you can obtain in the game.

However, not all quest items fall under the plot item category. Examples of such items are Blue Eels and Kohlmeier's Lucky Knife.


Key items are automatically used when trying to open locked doors. You can also lock doors with the Lock ability, if you have a key for the door.
