Shotguns are weapons in the Underrail: Expedition expansion. They use the Guns skill and have a low to moderate Strength requirement. They all use 12-gauge shotgun shells.

Description

Strong single shot attack firing multiple pellets at once
Can hit several targets with one shell
Combat shotguns can burst fire
No moving or melee penalties
Low-medium range
High damage output against individual targets up close
Accuracy drops sharply with distance
Very loud
Low-moderate strength requirement (5-6)

Enhancements

Long Shotgun Barrel: does about 84% the damage a short shotgun barrel would do, 5 degree narrower spread angle, no precision penalty
Short Shotgun Barrel: 5 degree wider spread angle, -10% precision penalty
Shotgun Tube Extension: +3 shell capacity
Shotgun Choke: decreases spread angle by 10 degrees, decreases damage by 15%
Forward Grip: increases burst precision by 10% on combat shotguns, decreases action point cost of regular shotguns by 5
