Description

You will find this non-aggressive plasma sentry endlessly walking in circles.

After initiating dialog you will have the option to take a better look at its insides. From here you can either examine its hardware, or noticing how corroded it is, try to kick it apart. Regardless of ability or skills, the only thing a kick will achieve is turning the bot hostile. If you decide to examine it instead, 40 effective electronics lets you realize that the bot's highish quality high frequency shield modulator might be removable, which you can successfully do with 85 effective skill. With 40 effective mechanics skill you can identify the source of the bot's faulty behavior, and with 85 effective skill you can repair it as well.

You only have one shot to examine it, and the modulator will permanently break if you attempt to take it when your skill is not up to snuff, however the repair can be attempted as many times as you want. If you'd like to do both, the order does not matter as long as you can do them back to back, otherwise it's better to start with the shield. Once repaired, the bot will attempt to leave the map as soon as you exit dialog. At this point if you are still not finished, your only option is to catch up to it and re-initiate dialog before it reaches the nearest exit.

This event ends after 60 minutes.
