Hermit Crab is a critter in Underrail: Expedition expansion.

Description

Hermit crabs are critters that hide in shells that protect them from detection. When the player comes close, or alerts the crab to its presence, they will come out of hiding.

Their shells range from the usual empty mollusk and nautilus shells to NFT crates, barrels, and even giant skulls. However, this is purely cosmetic in function.

The crab's main attack is a claw bash that dazes the player, removing a few action points. Their shell also provides protection from melee attacks, similar to Spear Guard, giving them a chance to block up to 20 mechanical melee damage.
