| XAL-001 (eXperimental Acid Launcher) is an advanced chemical pistol design that is a product of collaborative effort between both the Preservation and Investigation divisions of Institute of Tchort. The XAL-001 is a unique chemical pistol.
Description
The XAL (eXperimental Acid Launcher) is a prototype chemical weapon developed at the Institute of Tchort. It is supposed to be a vastly improved version of the Acid Blob Pistol, but may not perform as expected. After exactly 10 shots, it will begin to malfunction and leak acid on every shot.
In terms of game mechanics, on each shot, a duplicate shot will be fired at the player, dealing acid damage with a chance to entangle, creating a pool of acid at their feet and applying any ammunition effects (Rusting, Corrosion).
