Core Ring
The circular waterway near the Core City is popularly called Core Ring.

Core Ring is a location in the waterways of Lower Caves. It can be accessed with a Jet Ski.

Description

Long circular waterway. On the north side lies Core City. In the south, two Protectorate Outposts leading into The Rig and rest of the south waterways.

• The west exit leads to area Waterways 17 caves
• The north exit leads to area Waterways 18

• Has 1 respawning Mindshroom
• Can be fished in this area: Blue Eel, Anglerfish, Pentapus, Yellow Puckerfish, Minihead, Black Dragon

Waterways 17 caves

• The NW exit leads to area Waterways 19
• The SE exit leads to area Waterways 17
• There are some Coil Spiders in this area
• Making noise (using TNT for instance) will make 5-6 more Coil Spiders appear, including a Greater Coil Spider
• To the north are some Destructible objects
  • A Utility Bot is trapped behind those rocks. By freeing it, it will attempt to open the door to the facility in the SW corner (assuming the spiders do not destroy it)
• The facility in the SW corner:
  • Is guarded by 2 Auto-Turrets
  • Has a medical locker with a Super Health Hypo
  • Has a weapons locker requiring 100 Lockpicking
  • Has a desk with a Blueprint: Energy Shield Emitter
  • Has shelves containing some rare electronic components and a Warehouse Inventory List oddity, 2 XP
• One of the barrels contain some TiChrome Bars
• In the NE corner are 2 respawning Cave Ears mushrooms

• The north exit leads to areas Waterways 21 and Waterways 22 (depending if you're on the west or east side of the exit)
• The west exit leads to area Waterways 19
• The south exit leads to area Waterways 20
• Some Jet Skiers roam this area
• An abandoned Scrap Jet can be looted with 50 Lockpicking. It has an XG Power 3.0 battery
• On the east side it's possible to set foot on the island:
  • It has 6 respawning Lake Mushrooms
  • Some neutral Cave Hoppers inhabit the island
  • There are 2 cave hopper remains which each have a Cave Dragon Tail oddity, 2 XP
  • It holds the entrance to Old Ib's Homestead
