Research Facility is a dungeon in Core City.
Description
A secret Coretech research facility under Core City, accessible from lower level Drop Zone during the final mission of any of the three oligarch's questlines. Also accessible from Core City Sewers afterwards.
Its first level contains some mutagen experiment victims and a couple of crawlers in the open corridors. Second level guarded by Coretech plasma sentries, and secret research is being performed on the third level by Coretech scientists.
Level 1
- The entrance is in the SE corner and leads to Drop Zone, area Lower Drop Zone, Hub
- The main corridor (east and north) has 2 hidden Crawlers and 2 hidden Death Stalkers
- The NW stairs, leading to area Level 2 is surrounded by toxic clouds
- The SW stairs also lead to area Level 2. No clouds, but you'll have to fight through the mutants and dogs
- The door immediately in front of the entrance requires 90 Lockpicking
- The southwest area has 5 Mutated Dogs and a Hunchback Mutant
- The windows room room:
- The west door requires 60 Lockpicking
- The south door requires 100 Lockpicking
- The north door requires 100 Lockpicking
- The lower box near the door has a Biocorp Technology Catalog Fragment oddity, 1 XP
- The top box has a Cybernetic Module oddity, 3 XP
- The different desks and boxes have several crafting components
Level 2
- The entrances from Level 1 are in the SW and NW corners. Only the SW one is safe though, as the NW one will
lead to to a gas cloud
- The southeast corner has stairs leading down to Level 3
- The central part is guarded/patrolled by 4 Plasma Sentries

Level 3
- The entrance from Level 2 is in the southeast corner
- The lab room:
- The desks have several level ~100 electronic crafting components
- The south desk also contains a Lab Rat oddity, 3 XP
- The computer console provides some lore about the strange artefact you're looking for
- The exit from the lab room leads to area Level 3 exit
Level 3 exit
- This exit is first entered from the lab room in area Level 3
- It is trapped with an EMP Mine and an Acid Blob Trap Mk II, which can be recovered with 91 Traps skill (possibly less)
- 3 Tchortist missionaries are waiting here to fight you
- The west exit leads to Core City Sewers, area Sewers entrance (the door is locked from the other side until come out from the research facilty for the first time)
