The West Storage Depot is a location in the western Black Sea. It is located below the Mutie Refuge.

Description

The West Storage Depot was a warehouse facility operated by the Lemurians. It has since been abandoned, and mutant refugees are occupying the ground floors. The player is sent to the location early on to obtain an RFID chip.

Upper floor

Several open warehouse areas bordered on the west by a series of office units. This floor is populated by Giant Crabs and, once the power has been restored to the facility, Strongmen. It can be accessed by the use of a crane from the Mutie Refuge or by persuading the mutants to allow you elevator access. A ladder in the north-western corner leads to the third floor, in addition to a hole in the pump room. The body of a dead Lemurian Technician can be found in the generator room, whose arm houses an operational RFID chip. The generator room itself, however, can only be accessed via a ladder from the lower floor.

  • The area is inhabited by several Giant Crabs, Colossal Crabs and Psi Crabs
  • The north room:
    • Is the 'main' entrance and can be accessed from the crane shaft in the Mutie Refuge. The chain (if repaired) can be used to go back up.
    • Has 2 boxes requiring 70 Hacking each
    • The south door can be opened with 7 Strength (otherwise you'll have to find another, longer path)
  • Pump room 1 (northeast):
  • The east room:
  • The east office:
  • The administration room (northwest):
  • Pump room 2 (south):
    • Has a ladder to access area Lower floor
  • Small room to the west:
    • Can only be reached from a ladder (need 8 Agility) on the Lower floor
    • Has 2 boxes requiring 70 Hacking
    • The boxes contain some electronic components
  • The SW room:

Lower floor

A set of sealed vaults surrounded by offices. This floor has no enemies until the power is restored, at which point several Strongmen automatically activate. There is a hole in the ground in Vault 1, located in the center of the map, which can be descended into to access a small cave underneath the depot. An additional entrance to this cave is found in the westernmost office.

  • Some statues are actually Strongman that will turn to life when nearing them
  • To the northeast is a room with a box requiring 80 Hacking. It contains some crafting components.
  • To the north is a room that requires 70 Lockpicking to open. It has some desks with repair tool, batteries and components
  • The NW room
  • West room
    • Its door requires 70 Lockpicking
    • Has a box with weapon components
  • South computer console:
    • Vault 3 gate is just west of the console
    • Vault 4 is the east room (already open)
  • Computer room to the NW
    • Its door can be opened with 70 Lockpicking or with Security Keycard (West Storage Depot)
    • Vault 1 is just east of the console. It has an access to the Caves area
    • Vault 2 cannot be opened from the console
      • But the walls can be destroyed
      • It contains 3 boxes with crafting components. One of them requires 70 Hacking to open
    • Opening elevator vault opens the gate to the elevator, to the north
  • The Elevator room:
    • Has a hidden (need Perception) ventilation shaft, leading to a small room in the NW corner that has some crafting components
  • The SW room:
  • The west room (armory):
    • Requires 70 Lockpicking
    • Has 3 cabinets requiring 80 Lockpicking. They contain melee weapons, pistols, and ammunition.
